I can't reproduce this. I tried
Install > Start > Export without starting the tutorial and I got data
and
Install > Start > Import character > Export without starting the tutorial and I
got data
and
Install > Start > Begin tutorial > Import char, when tutorial said so > Export,
when tutorial said so and got data
Can you give me the exact steps that reproduce this?

Tried again 5 or 6 times, can't reproduce. Could have been something else.

That sounds a little like there are no orders in the station you are in. Are
you sure that is not the case? Elinor ignores everything that is one jump or
more away.
If that is not the problem, could you please upload one or two of the log files
and attach them here? You can usually find them at
%systemroot%\..\Users\%username%\Documents\EVE\logs\Marketlogs and since Elinor
displays a file size they should be there.
It would also help me to know where you installed Elinor and the EVE Client.

I appear to be having the same problem and I'm unsure of the cause.
The first time i clicked export in Eve, Elinor said 'fetching data' then
returned the message #System and says there are no orders in range, despite me
being in the station that all my orders are in. I've tried with multiple
characters and get the same issue.
As above, Elinor does acknowledge that there is something there as it reads a
file size for the logs.
Any help would be appreciated!
I have attached a log
Thanks

That's a really weird log. Where did you get this from? As you see in the file
name this seems to be a log of your orders. What you want is a log of the
orders in the market window. You do so by pressing the circled button in the
attached image. This should produce a log called to and looking like the 2nd
attached file.
If pressing this button produces your attached log, then I am seriously weirded
out.
