Empty date values are displayed (incorrect) in series #218

If day and month are not given it's displayed as Jan 1st in the connected series.

We need the "year" information as a triple. If we can not derive it from the start and end date we have to have the year separately. We just don't have the UI yet which is #30 closing as duplicate.
