The problem is the ingame map feature is severely lacking in many aspects, the worst of all (for me) being that it does not show my constructions. I don't know where or how far I've built.

A keybind to enable a PIP camera placed high above the character pointing down (possibly height-adjustable).
Describe alternatives you've considered
I've asked, and the best alternative to this would involve uploading my savefile to a site, or a very very tall ladder.
Additional context
I can think of many additional features, but honestly a simple aerial view would be a godsend for me.
