In some / scenarios a cyclist is allowed to cycle on paths that Google has designated as pedestrian areas. At this moment the SmartHalo App seems to limit the routes to roads/paths where cycling is allowed according to Google Maps. Google, unfortunately, does not know everything, and situations can change (temporarily).
Problem
Not all applicable routes may (already) be recognized by Google as a fine for cycling. E.g. in some countries, cycling is permitted in paths that Google sees as a pedestrian area. The SmartHalo user expects turn-by-turn navigation through all areas that are allowed... including pedestrian areas when permitted by law.
Solution
A quick fix would be to enable the user to switch between modes on Google maps (the mapping service used within the SH app, i.e. indicate in the SH app to use walking routes instead of cycling routes.
