I wanted to use the CCN data library as an example of a well-organized repository for a Reproducible Research via GitHub tutorial I'm leading on Friday, and noticed a few things that could use an updated. I committed a few readme's, but this pull request has come changes that I thought needed approval:
I removed some old biblio files that hadn't changed in over a year- probably best just to have the .bib and .csv in the synthesis directory just to make sure users are pointed in the right direction
I added a CC BY 3.0 license. I did some quick research on the matter, and it seems this would be a good fit. Lots of repos use unlicenses, etc., but because the main value of this repo is the data, not the software, a CC BY 3.0 is recommended by a number of organizations such as Software Carpentries. Anyways doesn't need to be the end-all be-all, can change later, but I thought better to have some license than none at all.
