species spelling should be resolved at the curation level. Post-synthesis, the taxa database should be updated if necessary and there should be a lookup table (perhaps another col in the database) which equates species to different habitats. This is & will be a manual assignment.
should we create/maintain a species-to-habitat lookup table? (or genus level)?
Habitat assignments
should we look at satellite imagery for hotspot sites? or crossref with the CCAP?
from the species table (assigned in hook script via our species-assigned-habitat lookup table) is used to inform core-level habitat. should this be part of the post-processing step?
use the Cowardin et al 1979 wetland classification scheme for our database?
Holmquist synthesis: Nyman et al 1993 salinity class misspelled => “brackish to saline (theres a lot of uncontrolled vars in this synth)
dated cores => resolve the Plum model stuff
year and month have two different definitions within the CCN database
age
age values range from 5818 (Drexler 2009) to -47 (Krauss 2018), there’s a mix of calendar year and year values
marker date…is it numeric (real v integer) or date?
Will CRS age depth model always use mass accumulation as the rate?
should we include detector limits for radioisotopes? could be different for each…
I’m confused about how we indicate sample age…is it age like 150 years? Or age like a date 1871?) (Ex. Eagle study)
Carry over changes from v1 to v2 database update and add columns which are created during the post processing step.
