Very strange situation #237

Reaver 1.4
backtrack 5 RC1
Alfa Awus036h monitor mode
signal -40 to -70
reaver runs on my pc and laptop

After 48hrs I finally received wps and key but despite so long time I was happy
that I could get that key.
From that time I wrote everything on paper and I tried one more time on my PC,
on my laptop and on my other PC.
On all three i couldn't even start. I was stopped on beginning and i have no
idea what is wrong.
These are moments were it all stopped:
1)Warning:receive timeout occured
and it's a loop, nothing happens, just this warning all the time
2)Switching mon0 to channel1,2,3,4,5-14 and then stop
nothing happens, can't find proper channel
3)waiting for beacon from bssid
and I wait and wait and nothing happens

So I thought I will check other SSIDs, I checked 10 strongest ones. All, and I
mean all of them gave me same results as above and sometimes that warning with
"re-tryipng pin" but it's this first pin so it doesn't do even 1 pin, so 0.0%

I thought that I will reboot my backtrack5 cd.
I booted it one more time.
And as usual frst I used that wfi wicd manager to connect with my wifi.
Then I did update:
apt-get update
apt-get install reaver
iwconfig
airmon-ng start wlan0
airodump-ng mon0
reaver -i mon0 -b bssid -vv
Ofcourse I tried other arguments such as:
reaver -i mon0 -b bssid -vv -N _S -L -d 0
but it gave me nothing, NOTHING.
After my first success I was never able to even have first pin checked.
And then it even went worse.
I checked my second Alfa awus036H and it was the same. I thought maybe alfa is
bad but no it works on win7.
So I went to my friend, again I booted backtrack from live cd, update and then
all as above, ANd then I was stopped on apt-get update, because I couldn't
update it all. I was stopped on 9% of update for 5min, then on 13$ then on 27%
and then it stopped forever on some point with error"waiting for headers".
So I couldn't even start reaver...
Tell me what I did wrong?

apt-get got me an error also (even wash wasn't working on occasion)

this worked for me:

wget http://reaver-wps.googlecode.com/files/reaver-1.4.tar.gz
tar -xzvf reaver-1.4.tar.gz
cd reaver-1.4/src
./configure
make && make install

ifconfig mon0 down
iwconfig mon0 mode monitor
ifconfig mon0 up

wash ....
reaver ...

Might be a driver issue as well:

Good luck

Did you try those commands I gave you ?
Is it working, is something moving, any error messages ?

wash tells you if that router you're trying to brute force is WPS enabled.

wash -i mon0 -C -s

Try that command and see if you can find that same bssid you are trying to hack.
