Chapter 6 HW & exercises

Create homework first with senators.csv (tweets from US senators), and then maybe develop a few in-class exercises on strings, dates, and tidying.

Ideas for homework:

• filter to only CO senators (only share data subset with students)
• mentions of local stuff like CSU, Fort Collins, Denver, etc.
• time stamps: manipulate and visualize frequency of tweets as function of hours or days of week
• compare senators (e.g., number of exclamation points, timing, frequency, etc.)
• descriptive statistics on number of tweets
• frequency of mentions over time (e.g., COVID-19, protests, election)

If extra time, proofread Chapter 6 and include minor tweaks in PR.

• move challenging and extra homework questions to in-class exercises and revise structure accordingly
• add homework questions about hashtags and wildfires
• write csv with Colorado-only data and upload to Canvas (along with homework template and full data file for exercises)
