Battlefield Interactions Systems!

See, the battlefield is lacking right now and I was reminded of how Fire Emblem had destroyable walls and levers and such you could flip in battle. That's what's gonna be happening here with this update that'll be coming.

What things to expect.

Now, I might go a bit more indepth with this one. Since it won't be the usual "Flip Switch X to activate Trap A" kinda thing.

I'll list a few things and go over them in more detail.

This one is a really easy one to understand. I was really looking at some things the other day and saw that, while I may be adding in Terrains and such, There should also be other environmental features and surroundings that make the game just as deadly if your positioning is wrong.

I'm not exactly sure just yet what kind of field hazards I'll plan on adding in. But there are a few ideas being tossed at me here and there. Such as Magical Rune Traps, Spirits from the underworld, Destructible Walls, Teleportation Pads, So on, so on.

I mean, it's Touhou, right? So I'm unsure of how to incorporate this in. I really am. That's kinda fickle. Maybe it won't make it in.

Even if I don't decide to go with a Line Of Sight type system, guess what. I'm still gonna send a nuclear beam in your direction so that I can have Displacement Access to you.

Why move seven tiles when I can break a wall and move one or two? In turn, why can't the enemy do the same thing? I'm not trying to Overachieve or anything, but breaking walls and such seems pretty viable and unreliable since it'll be a double-edged sword sometimes.

Maybe switch on a magical barrier or even switch it off. Press a button and maybe get some good loot or a hidden passage route. Maybe get yourself ganked by a trap.

You know what that's about. Generic, but the realm of possibilities is what counts. Just saying that it might change something.

How To Expect It

Let's get this out the way now. Nine out of ten, this system mostly won't be directed towards you.

That means that I might not always directly shove the fact that there's these special features on a battle map right in your face.

So, when I confirm the release, some of this stuff could be on a battle map. And the locations won't change likely, so memory will serve you well.

I'll see what else I can make out of this, but for now, this is all there is on the topic at hand.
