I've been working on this, it's nearly done, so it'll likely hit the upcoming Mid-April Update.
What this basically entails would be a basic tier Terrain System. Which will debuff or buff and add or remove certain elements from a character if they're standing on a tile of a specific Terrain Type. That's all.
So. Here's a list of what to expect.
[x] Specified Tiles: This merely means that you'll be able to tell what tiles are what somehow via indication be it a different look to the tile or something on your HUD to indicate as such.
[ ] Character Ability To Make Terrains: Cirno should be able to fucking freeze the damn tiles so people slip! MWAHAHAHAHAA! SLIP! SLIP! SLIP!
[ ] Character Ability To Remove Terrains: Cirno froze the damn ground again? Mokou, where the fuck are you? BURN THIS ICE ALREADY.
[x] Statistical Buffs/Debuffs: If I'm standing in fire. I should be getting more powerful. If I'm standing in water, I should be getting more weaker.
This basically entails that statistical values and such can go up or down.
[ ] Special Terrain Based Moves: If Character A is within Terrain X, grant Skill Y.
This basically means that if I want, say, Cirno to have a special ability if she's on an Ice Tile, she'll gain it.
[x] Move Buffs/Debuffs: Speaks for itself. You shouldn't be moving super fast in the dark abyss.
[ ] Damage/Healing Tiles: Purify the area. Curse the area. Explode the area. Whatever the hell you want.
So yeah. Most of this is done and in the testing phases. So this may be a silly thing to toy with.
