iPhone 4 connected, but typing brings "bluup" sound on Mac, no input on iPhone #18

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. select paired iPhone 4 in 1Keyboard menu
2. click on iPhone icon
3. type text

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
expected for the keystrokes to go to iPhone - since no keyboard is displayed on
iPhone, it has an "external" keyboard connected

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
download version from today (March 29). MacBook Pro with Lion 10.7.3, iPhone
with iOS 5.1

Please provide any additional information below.

It looks like everything is set up right and should work, something on the Mac
is preventing typing from getting across.

I have essentially the same issue. I am able to pair, I configured my iphone in
the 1keyboard menu, connected, and my iphone keyboard disappears, indicating
that there is an external keyboard connected. I type the shortcut for my iphone
but when I type nothing shows up in the active iphone text field. Essentially,
the iMac thinks the keyboard still belongs to it and has not relinquished
control. I have set up the System Preferences according to the instructions and
my Mac OS is 10.7.5.
