Hide the program icon in the taskbar (KDE Plasma Linux) #1420

I use Arch Linux, Nvidia, Wayland, KDE Plasma

There is a Tray icon, which is good But there is also another separate icon that shows up in the taskbar, that randomly flashes orange. I play the game in Windowed mode, and its distracting. This is unnecessary, I only need the tray icon.

Is there a way to hide this taskbar icon?

Electron has removed the ability to hide the icon on Linux a year ago. Workaround that I did, may or may not work for you because.. Linux https://github.com/SnosMe/electron-overlay-window/commit/07b3d1ac1333c670909b76e767438a9d10166dcf

Oh I see, sorry I'm not a programmer, how do I use that file?

You don't need anything. If it doesn't work, then unlucky.

My workaround with hidden panel is untick "Unhide when a window wants attention" in Behavior inside Icons-only Task Manager Settings. It's not good, but it works for me.

by the way, I use windowed mode because Fullscreen windowed simply doesnt work with awakened poe trade. it gets hidden behind the window or something. probably another wayland thing.
