The sprinklers will take the water container you are filling the sprinkler with when the sprinkler is full and you right click on it with a bucket or watering can, I am sure it will happen with other water containers too. Tested with bucket and watering can (normal, copper and silver). The sprinklers also destroy the fluid containers when the containers them selves are empty and right clicked on the sprinkler.
