What's the reason for the relatively low compensation? Usually artists get 50% or more from NFT sales. - Tea
the NFTicket is not only a visualised artwork, it is actually also a ticket to the conference - so we need to verify them (a) and loaded with at least two other incentives: access to content or an airdrop of a NFT (both exclusive to NFTIcket holders) from a Portuguese creator (b); discount on future FTR tickets (c).
Each of these positions (a,b,c) have costs attached that need to be carried by the ticket sale as well. Additionally we'll be minting via NFTmaker pro which takes another small cut. - Dan
- Creators are: Tea & Pedro
- Design (incentives, ticket function): Heather & Dan
- Setup (metadata, entry check at the door): Heather & Dan
- Execution (minting, salepage): Heather & Dan, NFTmaker pro
The main motivation behind the NFTicket sale is to fund the the DisCo of Urgency (and successively social impact projects) through a DoU stake pool. - Dan
That's why we approach creators that are sympathetic to the cause and don't mind a smaller cut in that one instance. - Dan
ok thanks for clarifying! Could you please put this in writing and also send me the contract draft - Tea
Will do! - Dan
Note: I'm in the process of establishing NFT launch pads for creators and have a friend that has already established one in Japan. If you want to launch your own NFTs and become financially independent by taking around 90% from your sales - that's reasonable & doable!
However it's not what we had in mind for the NFTicket.
