[Linux] infinite loading #236

I didn't change anything, I just made the launcher update automatically. So I can't even log in because it says to wait for the files to download, instead if I check it manually the files are all there.

I read that you changed a lot of things in this Linux version, but unfortunately it doesn't work anymore. Reading the logs I see that there are errors: 02/12/2023 [ ERROR] JSON SERVER FILE: Access to the path 'C:\SBRW\Launcher_Data' is denied. I went to see the permissions manually with Ubuntu's Nautilus file manager but I have both read and write permissions, so the problem is this new version. 02/12/2023 [ WARN] SERVER PING: Unable to Ping NIGHTRIDERZ: Horizon
I then went to log in on their site and I can safely even see the map with the users, so the server works I have also tried deleting the *.ini settings but nothing changes

Seconded, same problem happening on linux, I've even submitted a new script for Lutris that installs the new version but it's still broken and stuck on infinite loading.

I also tried the Lutris script placed on the NRZ server download page. But I haven't fixed it, let's hope the developers read us

Insider Build 2.2.0.5 address the issue, but some users have reported that they can't click the bypass. If that happens, than use the keyboard. If it still doesn't work, you'll have to manually change the value for the bypass check in the settings.ini file

Thank you, it works!!! But I had to use tab on the keyboard to accept the bypass

I've added a another way in the next build of the launcher (2.2.0.6), where Unix builds will be able to bypass the check by entering a command in the launcher console. This would enable the bypass and restart the downloader.

I think it's a good idea! Let us know how to do it ;) Thanks !!

Launcher Release Version 2.2.0.6 is now publicly available.

Since the release of 2.2.0.0 the launcher has had a console which is aimed to include commands that doesn't meet/or fit the criteria of getting a UI element. Spoiler Alert; there isn't a lot of commands for now, but in the near future it will be include commands to quickly change a setting, but that's for another day.

You can either do the following (each method have the same commands):

Now typing in help in the launcher console, it will being a list of commands available, However, there are commands that is not listed (Slight oversight on my part).

The following commands are only available on 2.2.0.6 or newer:

Storage Bypass Alert (Unix Builds Only)

Manually Restarting the Game Downloader

Here is also easter eggs in the console. But you didn't read that from here

Got a similar issue on 2.2.2: the game downloads, installs, no issues, but it hangs on the loading screen prior to the intro of the game. I tried to wait for 4-6 minutes but i get the feeling it’s not really loading. Nothing mentioned in the launcher’s logs…
