Hi Visen, thanks for sending in this PR. After some thought I made the conclusion that having zig.guide host instructions for building from source isn't currently a good idea for a few reasons:
zig.guide follows major releases; the vast majority of users wanting to use the latest major version have little use for building from source (the latest major version isn't useful for users looking to contribute, and also isn't useful for the typical zig user).
increased maintenance churn, requiring us to test building from source upon every new major version (which often changes the build non-trivially) for all of our targets.
the zig repo's wiki already ha up to date and detailed information for building from source for those interested
