IE 8 hangs while loading large nodes #290

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Large nodes more than 3000
2.IE 8
3.

If possible, please attach an example HTML file (e.g. a copy of `doc/_test-
ISSUE.html`), that reproduces the problem when copied
into the dynatree/doc/ folder or reproduce on jsFiddle:

1. open http://jsfiddle.net/mar10/xj5au/
2. [Fork] - Modify code - [Update] - [Share]

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the dynatree and jQuery are you using?
dynatree  1.2.1_rc3$ 
jQuery JavaScript Library v1.7.1

On what operating system and browser?
Windows xp sp3
IE8

What DOCTYPE declaration are you using?
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" 
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

I found same issue in dynatree 1.2.2.

I can reproduce this issue by changed "Add 1,000 nodes (flat)" to 3000+ from 
the test-bench.html page.

As of 2014 Dynatree is feature frozen.
Please have a look at Fancytree (sequel of DynaTree 1.x): chances are good that 
the problem was resolved / the requested featuer is already implemented.
Please open a new issue there otherwise:
