Can't get code to execute when scanning card #3

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install the bcm2835 library
2. compile and run the rpi-rc522
3. run ./rc522_reader -d
4. new card scanned, get the output of

Type:0400, Serial: 75305f74
New tag: type=0400 SNlen=4 SN=[75305f74]

5. edit \etc\RC522.conf to include the line
[75305f74] date

6. run ./rc522_reader -d

7. scan the card again, get the output of

Type: 0400, Serial 75305f74
Exit

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I believe I should be seeing the date displayed however it just says Exit...
I've tried other commands as well and cannot get it to do anything else but say
Exit ...

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.

Unsure if this is a bug / it is not configured correctly but any help would be
appreciated.

Thanks

Solved my own issue
For the reader to execute the commands you put into the config file you have to
run :

sudo nohup /bin/rc522_reader &

So I put that command into

/etc/rc.local

And has been working great ever since :)
