An impact area is a classification of how a either an organisation or project makes a different (projects being part of a funded deal).
There's a wide range of possible classifications that could be used. Different funders and organisations will use different categories in their own classifications. So it's something to consider in building a standard that will likely capture many variations and meanings, possibly dual meanings.
Examples
Animal welfare
Arts and culture
Children and Young People
Community and citizenship
Disability
Education
Employment and training (sometimes this is included with education)
Environment and Conservation (sometimes split into built/heritage and natural, or heritage can be part of arts and culture)
Families
Health (can be physical or mental, can include disability)
