The following article talks about a different approach to using dto's on the front end.

It's actually similar to the built-in stuff

Tried this with the nav bar rework, and I actually really liked it, so will implement this in the future

Tried doing this on the player object, it didn't seem right to me.

I'm going to reserve this for later, when I create more endpoints and get a better feel for what I want

Looking online, doesn't really seem to be a standard of any sort, other then that article
