[ci] Backport ci update #23

Ok, now only tests are failling, ci is up to date. It has to be noted that the changes done to the cmakelists need to be backported along with the condition for artifact generation of the ci.yml file

@bakpaul The test step is failing, but it is because the test executable cannot be found. Could it be because of the CI?

indeed @alxbilger the tests are failing since the executable needs chmod to be executed
