Openbox WM always appears after login #71

I did the following installation:

  1. Arch Bang, which comes with openbox as only WM.

  2. followed the youtube video on getting and installing HyprV4

    • had to deal with two conficts ( --- wireplumber and pipewire-media-session -- removed pipewire-media-session and also uninstalled pipewire-pulse --- lxappearance and lxappearance-gtk3 are in conflict

  3. when rebooting the new login screen from Hyprland appears and I can choose between Hyprland and Openbox. BUT: Openbox is always coming up. I checked the install.log and found two errors: --- target not found: xdg-desktop-portal-gnome and xdp-desktop-portal-gtk. -- I manually installed those two, reran the set-hypr script and rebootet, but still only openbox is loading no matter what I select at the login screen.

What other logs should I check?

Seems I solved this problem (by accident). I did install xfce4 and with that DE, Hyprland could load when selecting it at the login screen. So it seems openbox causes that issue.
