Confusing to configure | Broke everything! #83

I wanted to make a suggestion of the install script having toggles and options. I have tried to customize my install and have more or less broke everything aesthetically speaking.

Is this because I'm a noob? Definitely. But this tool is meant for noobs, is it not?

A simple TUI when installing would be nice. For example, I don't want Firefox. There's a few keyboard shortcuts I want to customize. Etc. ~ Oh, also, the biggest issue I personally have is that there's confusing ways to modify things. I can't tell if I'm supposed to change things in ~/.config/HyprV or the respective program's .config directory.

I would really prefer if ~/.config/HyprV just didn't exist at all and instead the script did what it needed to the respective .config directories ~ If it come across as asking too much, I apologize. I am very new to this kind of thing and have no idea if this is a big ask or not. Regardless, thank you, Sol, for lowering the bar of entry to Hyprland!

This is an old post, but I am on the same boat, what I did was start making changes slowly after installing the system, this has allowed to me learn a bit more about linux, as for modifying the appearance and settings I just directly go to ~/.config/hypr/Hyprland.conf
