who did configure this?

not me. i prefer to just update the dependencies all at once whenever we do a version release. but many other solid-related repos already have Renovate configured and i guess it's handy to get notified and have a mergeable PR when there is a non-breaking update that fixes a security bug.

As discussed during one of the last calls we are doing upgrades with each release and do not feel the need for renovatebot
