Each platform/type will be part of a category (although it could just be a hierarchy view of platforms).

Platforms can be as detailed or as high level as necessary. Firearm might have a lot of different platforms, vs a Statue only might have a couple. Platforms may or may not have diagrams.

I wonder if it makes sense to take the platform name and then add it to the categories. Platform names are just categories i hierarchy form

Platform Categories names are the platforms themselves. We will add configuration around if you an add parts to a platform or it might just be used as another category level.
