Small code simplification within the check_guess() function

Hi @SoniaBarasa, I'm enjoying this game 🙂

Here is a small suggestion about how to simplify some of the code within the check_guess() function.

@SoniaBarasa here you have a new code suggestion for your repository (i.e. a PR from a contributor), you can:

• add (request) yourself as a reviewer
• then, you should be able to "Add your review" - you can comment (add suggestions/requests to the code before merging it to the main branch in your repository) or approve (approve the code to be merged without any extra suggestions/requests, if you are happy with the changes).

To review the code:

• (If there is an issue attached to the PR, not the case here) Check if the code in the PR addresses and actually solves/addresses the issue.
• Think about whether the proposed change improves the code you have in main.
• Think if there might be a better solution to the one implemented. And whether this needs to be included as part of this PR (i.e. before merging it), or if it can be addressed at a future stage (still good to leave comments describing this on the PR).
