plugin is not usable with dev. version of firefox

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open firefox (nightly version)
2. the status bar is no longer there
3. can't do anything related to the add-on

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
see "What steps will reproduce the problem?" section

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Up to date per browser plugin page.  Fedora.

Can you confirm the Add-on bar is enabled in the nightly version?  I know in 
some versions it isn't on automatically.  You can find it by clicking on 
View|Toolbars and making sure the Add-on Bar is checked.

The add-on has been tested with the latest version and this should be resolved. 
 There is also an updated version awaiting approval on the Mozilla add-on site. 
 I would drop it in the downloads section, but Google has done away with file 
hosting.
