After upgrading the factory, I can select the power upgrade but it just shows a factory, it doesn't change to a solar panel.

Ok, this is why I need to make a tutorial for this game. When your upgrading to a factory there was a bit of text which I didn't add. It was supposed to signify that is the upgrade paths and you choose which one. One of the achievements is to get an Lv4 Forest or Quarry which requires electricity which unlocks the upgrades for it. I will start making a tutorial over the weekend. Sorry for this game is in Beta hence a lot of confusion
