Try Ruby is a interactive shell that quickly and whimsically teaches the Ruby programming language. Originally _why's idea, it has been recreated from the ground up by Rubyists who have a passion for Ruby and for teaching their fellow (wo)man how to program.
I'm teaching a Ruby course at the moment, and was hoping to use TryRuby as resource for people starting Ruby. Unfortunately my experience of it having started the first help tutorial, is that you end up in double dots for about 1 command in 3 (the commands were typed in correctly). Clearly if a newbie experiences this, they will not have a good experience, which is a shame as TryRuby is such a nice idea.
