@asdfwaff I got the same code as you posted I am going to post it but you are faster than me 1-2 minutes ^^. It works fine for me too.

Guys just an info, does opcodes get update often? because i never used the manual method, im not sure how to do it, so usually i just wait a few after you guys find those. Should i just manually change them, or if i wait like a day, they get auto updated?

Hey! So here is how it works. Whenever the game is updated and a patch is released, codes will normally be posted within a few hours and your XIVA MUST be updated for it to function. This program has not received an official update in like 2 years so you need to manually update the codes. Luckily, since other people get the codes for us, it's really easy.

Step 1. Launch FF14 but don't log into a character Step 2. Go to your taskbar and right click the XIVA application. The icon will look like a gear. Step 3. Click "Show Control Window" Step 4. Click on Configure and make sure to UNCHECK "Check for opcode updates on startup" Step 5. Click on Configure again and go to "Edit opcode configuration" Step 6. Copy the codes that are posted above. Delete everything that is in the opcode configuration window and paste in the new codes. Step 7. In the configuration window, press File and then press "Save" That's it. Every time a new patch drops, get the codes from here, go to that configuration window, delete the old codes, paste the new ones, press save. Make sure you don't log into a character before you save the codes (but you can have the game launched and be in the selection screen)

This have been added by Soreepeong, XIVAlexander developer, just 18 hours ago, and committed as 7.05h2, and last version update was april this year. Can someone explain why ppl say this project is abandoned, meanwhile the developer still commit and update regularly? If im missing something, just let me know, because i read on other posts, about disabling OPcode updates etc. The program is being updated, i thought the opcode posted on issues was just to get it working straight after the patch, but seems Soreepeong is updating pretty fast. Unless there is a valid reason to uncheck update opcodes, or something i don't know, can someone explain please?

Psyonicpanda commented 2 months ago

Pretty sure that the last update was April of last year, not this year. idk about Soreepeong adding codes but there hasn't been an official update in over a year. Just manually update the codes and call it a day. It takes around 1 minute to copy it from here :)

Edit: I do see the file they changed and maybe it would work if you redownloaded it every single time but why do that?

Stiel83 commented 2 months ago

pretty sure i got the opcode update the moment i logged in. it cost me nothing to jst get the codes here, but whats the point, if the developer already keep it updated already? Sorry i just started using a month ago, didn't follow the situation before, so i wouldn't tell tbh, but last time, i checked on issues for opcodes, then i checked mine, and it was already updated, so idk.....

Psyonicpanda commented 2 months ago

Mine definitely don't auto update and I need to go and manually update every single time.

Stiel83 commented 2 months ago

If Soreepeong would tell something, so we just know the situation, would be nice. but seeing latest issues, idk if he ever watch them anymore.

Gianluca90 commented 2 months ago

@asdfwaff Hey, in your code you have:

"C2S_ActionRequest": "0x030f" "C2S_ActionRequestGroundTargeted": "0x030f"

while the last commit (yesterday) has:

"C2S_ActionRequest": "0x030f" "C2S_ActionRequestGroundTargeted": "0x00cc"

What's the correct one? Thanks

he hasn't worked on it for over a year now and hasn't responded to any one about anything ever since i called him out for being wrong about XIVAlexander not causing my game to crash and tried to attribute it to hard drive failure over a year ago. i proved him wrong by proving that the game would only crash under a certain circumstance while running XIVA and that once i uninstalled XIVA the game would stop crashing under that certain circumstance. proved him wrong by showing screenshots of my hard drive with crystal disk info showing it was perfectly fine and working under normal conditions. proved him wrong by showing a hard drive stress test that it passed with no issues. showed screenshots with the game crashing under the certain circumstance with XIVA installed and uninstalled. apparently he got super upset when i proved him wrong and stopped working on or commenting in regards to other problems ever since then. you can go back and look for yourself if the threads are still around.

@GKHAII nice, so what now? we are left with ourself with a program no longer maintained? Btw, he do commit still, just as i said, maybe he gave up on english community or idk,also, you say about 1 year ago, but latest version is from april 2024. Would be nice to make some light on this matter, because the program is nice, and help ppl with crap latency to actually play right.

well last i saw he was turning it over to someone that he trusted so that someone may be the person that has been doing the commits but the program itself hasn't been updated in a long time.

had to go back a bit to find it but the last time the dev replied to anything was my comment back on June 20, 2022 when he tried to say that my crashes and another users were both due to failing hard drive. we both told him it wasn't and proved him wrong and he hasn't responded to anything ever since. highly doubtful that he's going to start responding now.
