"fling" mouse cursor #37

This would be cool for any type of track pad UI, but seems especially at
home within an andriod app...
Instead of finger movements relating statically to cursor movement, one can
fling the cursor in any direction... in the same manner that long menus are
flung up and down within android.

The first version of PRemoteDroid had this feature :P
But it wasn't really usable :(

It was a mix between trackpoint and touchpad

I agree. I cannot imagine any pros. :-/ Can you provide more information about
your
use-cases?

with this movement system, smoothness and speed depends on the "touch frequency"
on HTC Hero, it's 65 Hz, so it's smooth
on Nexus one, it's only 30 Hz, the mouse movement is not smooth
