jakawell,
Thanks for pointing out this issue! We will look into this and hopefully get it resolved in the near future. I think you are correct that it has to do with the redesign and we also have been noticing some conflicts between the Google Play player and the HTML5 player. In any event, we are hot on the trail and we appreciate your help in getting the issue narrowed down.
We are releasing a new version of SoundControl in the coming weeks called SndControl, which you will see a notice here soon. You should have all the same features but we are trying to make our features easier to find and make room for intentional growth. We want to focus on what we do best and make it better, rather than, simply throwing as much at you as we can, etc. We may focus our efforts to fix this issue here in the new release, which will generally look like the attached image.See image
We have some ideas but all new ideas are welcomed. Thanks again and let us know if there is anything you can think of that you think may help our software fit your needs better.

Earlier this week, I noticed that the connection with Google Play Music was having an odd issue in that play and paused were reversed: when the music was playing SoundControl said it was paused (even though the scrubber was moving) and when the music was paused SoundControl said it was playing. Extension disabling/reenabling, Chrome restarts, and machine restarts didn't fix it (Windows 8.1). Now today (14 May) Google released a completely redesigned version of play.google.com/music, and now the problem is "worse": now SoundControl doesn't seem to recognize Play Music at all. My guess is that this week Google was tweaking the site which caused the first issue, and now the new site has completely broke connection. Hopefully this is an easy fix! I love this tool so much! Happy SC Plus user here!

Thanks for the quick response! I'm looking forward to trying the new player (I always love new stuff)! I don't know that I necessarily have any other big suggestions... As for features, it has everything I need (once Play Music is back!); I primary use Play Music, YouTube, Pandora, and HTML5 controls, and love auto-pause when others start and when the screen goes off. As for fears, I imagine the best thing is just to avoid removing features; if the features are there, people will adjust! I'm looking forward to it! I'm hoping it's soon, so I can get my Play Music control back (I literally use SoundControl at least 8 hours a day)! :-)
Another vote for GPlay issue. Definitely is something I hope to see fixed shortly.
Not sure if it was the intended fix in 1.17.2, but Google Play Music is working again!
Awesome! Thanks for the early fix! Working great! :-D
Perfect. Keep me posted if you run into any other problems. Better I find out from a loyal user with a good eye for noticing things than a new user that is just getting used to the cool features of our extension.
Thanks again for your help!
