This is happening on mGBA with the latest ROM built off the Master branch, commit 6013a9c2144ed1f3595f48fef570f24577f63375.

I confirm this bug on an Ez Flash JR and Original GBC, on commit 0df396bc of Master branch.

It's been a while, but this issue is fixed in recent versions
