I have done some work on the website. There is a subdirectory in the repo called "jekyll-on-rails/site" - this is the fork of the "feeling responsive" jekyll template. Following https://www.sitepoint.com/jekyll-rails/ I've added the bits to the rails app (initializer, routes, gems etc) that are necessary to build the site under public when running the app.
