Fixes issues with tests #381

Simply fixes the issue with tests not running, and also adds back a change that has mysteriously reverted. Not sure how that happened but, it's fixed now.

Which commit/PR made that supposedly missing change?

@Southclaws I can't remember which commit, but I do remember making these changes before and pushing them, since tests all passed on the last PR I merged.
