Confidential computing - technology overview #42

As the SCS community, we want to have an overview of the technology that is available to build platforms that allow confidential computing.

There are:

SGX (intel)
TDX (intel) - upcoming?
SEV (amd)

Are there others? What about non x86_64 - anything in ARM land?

Definition of Ready:

[ ] Acceptance criteria are defined
[ ] Acceptance criteria are clear and understood by the whole team

Definition of Done:

[ ] An overview of the technology is made available to the SCS community
[ ] Intel SGX is explained
[ ] AMD SEV is explained
[ ] Documentation has been updated
[ ] Release Notes have been updated
