Not sure if it would be too difficult/time consuming or interesting for you to try but I would love to see:
About interface and QoL:
Backports of some newer options like: disclose, hilite_status (mainly to highlight changes in my attributes), the ability to directly open the relevant inventory window when trying to (E)at, (R)ead, etc
Nethack4 special character for corridor walls (draw_rock option), a simple (I think?) change that makes corridors and overall floors very atmospheric in my opinion
Prevent character from moving one square when trying to use a spell without enough Pw left (when asked for direction)
Curses interface? I see you've already considered this, even though it seems hard to implement for everyone
About dungeon exploring:
3.7.0 Theme rooms! The main reason why I love your variant is its exciting variety (while not being nearly as unbalanced as SLEX) so I think they would fit a lot there
SpliceHack's dynamically generated level names, that sometimes hint at the presence of a Dungeon Feature
Secondary but very cool too:
Missing animations for non beam spells?
Up-to-date database (wiki or ingame, like SLEX) of item effects, techniques? Ingame Nethack4 descriptions are very beginner friendly
I'm still a complete noob but I love your variant. Thanks a lot for your efforts and keep it up!
