Prize Bounty

• First Place: $7,500 in SOV
• Runner up: $5,000 in SOV
• Both winners eligible for post-hackathon grants for continuing to develop the project for deployment.

Challenge Description

There are a number of backend services running, which are essential to the security and/or functioning of the system. These services are:

• The Sovryn Nodes which liquidate and rollover positions and arb the AMM
• The Bridge Federators which need to sign off token transfers over the ETH Bridge
• The FastBTC nodes which sign off RBTC transfers to BTC depositors

Any improvement of security, decentralization, scalability or overall functionality of these services is greatly appreciated. This can come in the form of concrete concepts with development plans or preferably working code.

A non-exhaustive list of things we need: Monitoring services for the services. E.g.: Monitoring wallet balances (RBTC and tokens) and sending notifications if they run low. (Only actual code)

• Converting the Master-Confirmation-Node Setup of FastBTC into a system of homogeneous nodes. (Also concepts)
• Data visualization: Stats, balances, transaction lists, error logs. E.g.: For the Sovryn node there is a very minimalistic interface, which is showing the balances of the different wallets in different currencies and the number of positions in the liquidation and rollover queue. Data missing here is for example how many funds are needed to process all liquidations in the queue as well as a history of the actions. Other services have no monitoring frontend at all.
• Easier ability for less technical or non-technical users to run their own nodes.

Submission Requirements

• Participants need to be at least 18 years old by June 4th, 2021.
• Participants from everywhere can participate in this online event
• You need to register online as a team or as an individual.
• You can submit individually, or as a team. Teams should include no more than ten people.
• All of your team participants will need to register here
• Partners and their affiliates are not eligible for participation in Sovrython.

What makes a submission complete?

• A presentation (PDF, Slidedeck etc) describing the project
• Link to a public Github repository containing the code, team members, presentations, demo and documentation
• Link to a video demo (YouTube only) is advisable, but not strictly required
• The submission must be released under a GPLv3 compatible license
• Projects cannot be edited after submission.

Judging Criteria

Submissions will be judged by a panel of experts based on their technical merits as well as the likelihood of implementation in a manner adding to the functionality of the Sovryn Protocol / Platform.
