Align Characters or Set Characters at Opposition Along a Value #110

🚀 Feature Request

📝 Description

The current system specifies that a theme has value webs and those value webs have opposition values:

e.g. The "Growing Up" Theme may have "Love" and "Greed" value webs and the "Love" value web may have "Love," "Hate," and "Apathy" as opposition values

Characters within the theme can have up to one opposition value from each value web.

The current design is more focused on the value webs and not on the character relationships formed by them. What we need is:

✨ Describe the solution you'd like

Select characters within the character comparison, then choose an option to either align them or set them in opposition. This would show an option for the value web to use and the opposition value (or opposition values if setting in opposition).

After setting this, the user can view the relationships between the characters for a particular value web and lines can be drawn to show characters in alignment, similar to the value web tool, but focused on characters only.

@ryanreso1993 how does this sound?

I like the argument and agree with its conclusion. What will this look like? Also, will this account for changes in a character's values over time? For example, if the character devalues women at the beginning but learns to respect them at the end after dressing up as one for the story (Tootsie). Would it make more sense to assign a value to a section on a character's arc rather than the character themselves? I'm still vague on how a user can use the character value comparison tool, and tried to sketch out a two-column chart with the created Value at top and character arc sections either in support of or in opposition to the value, and to each other.
