The chromatic representation would be improved if we could increase the total number of steps in the rainbow gradient. Instead of 9 steps of colour, if we could use a more complex gradient, it would be better to see more differentiation of values...
In the SS toolkit in QGIS we can do something like this and, in some cases, we can see things better.
