Some special building commands I've seen and heard of:

/replace command (would replace /convert) - replace one block with another inside a cuboid
/cuboid command - fill a cuboid with a block
/grow command - toggles sapling-growth mode on and off (when on, saplings placed will turn into trees)
/dtnt command - toggles detonate-TNT mode on and off (when on, TNT placed will 'explode' taking out certain kinds of blocks - probably would need anti-griefing or not even end up included)

Any ideas for others? (Like special blocks, this is a lower-priority suggestion)

I think /grow could include some other things, like maybe mushrooms. I had some other ideas for it a while back but I've forgotten them. :P

Oh, may have worded that oddly, I meant something like when you use /grow it toggles grow mode on and off on a per-user basis, with saplings placed while grow mode is on turning into trees and those placed while it's off stay saplings (same for /dtnt).

Oh, sorry, I did mean that. I was thinking of other things that could potentially grow when planted, so it's not just saplings to trees.

Misinterpretation party! :P Though I'm not sure what exactly mushrooms would turn into.
