The new commit, (as far as I can tell,) doesn't actually give a performance increase, and also introduces some bugginess.

When zoomed out (just by the scroll wheel? You don't need to hold ctrl anymore): problem

This was done a while ago. I forgot who requested it.

There are a few bugs to iron out with the transparency background after the lag fix. I'll try to get rid of them as soon as I have time.
