Limit switches and vfd #223

Hello I'm new to cnc and am having issues with the final stages. I have a 2.2kw vfd connected ro 220 outlet. The xpro is on 110.

The rs485 blinks red all the time connected or not. The vfd functions on its own to control the spindle but after switching it to be controlled via rs485 it doesn't do anything.

The limit switches are another headache. I have a green light when I have the switches connected. Pressing manually does nothing unless only one switch is installed the. The light blinks but the cmd window doesn't report anything happening. When I go to the web ui it's a long log of alarm for the limit switches and still doesn't register that I'm clicking.

Homing does not work either if a switch is connected. Cncjs says alarm 10 and the web ui says alarm 8.

Update. Turns out one of the switches was bad so that's working now.

I swapped rs485 wiring with a twisted cable and went a to rs- and b to rs+. Now I get a solid green light. Still doesn't work.

Another update. Wired the xpros psu to the same 220 circuit. No change.

Installed 100 ohm resistors. The light blinks red

Installed the rs485 isolator. Light is solid green. Tried swapping a and b like one person said that made the lights blink red.

I'm really starting to regret choosing this controller.
