Road/Street confusion #16

Road and street are used interchangeably in the model and its examples. This is not a terminology thing, references to the actual attribute vary between road and street throughout.

Yes, sadly this was the case for version 1.0.0 pre 25/06/2024. I believe the reason was a change in preferences regarding Street and Road during the 2+ years of model development.

The current version, 1.0.1 26/06/2024+ now uses Street exclusively for the terrestrial thoroughfare parts of addresse.

"Road" is retained only for the Roads Model used to define Road Name and Road Object classes but this can't easily change as it's in the model definition, not just descriptive text or labelling. I think this is confusing still, so I will likely change all terminology to "Road" or "Street" after seeking advice from the ICSM Address group as to which term is preferred.

This issue is not yet resolved.
