Previous EBNF grammars for addresses have been developed by Geoscape that handle all known cases on Unit (subaddress) numbering and using them will probably fix this.
To be resolved by inclusion of Geoscape grammars.

Some of the examples are hard to follow, and in my view don't reflect the model. I suspect this is due to my interpretation, so requires clarification with the author. E.g., where does the unit token come from in the template section. I would think the unit type from the model should be incorporated, with UNIT being used to fill blanks where a unit number is present, but a unit type is not. Similarly with level type. It needs to be defined before it is used as well
