Details (publication, GitHub,...): There are a nmber of methods to simulate spatial transcriptomics data, but we don;t know how well they work. Try this out: https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/DR.SC/vignettes/DR.SC.Simu.html

I looked at the DR-SC simulation. It is just randomly generating expressions and assigning spatial coordinates without using a reference dataset, spatial genes, or any other relevance
