2 years ago This is a tough one. I feel that SoftValidations in TaxonWorks will evolve over time to represent best practices, not just in TW. We want to balance the ability to customize with the app's inherent ability to gently push people towards using best practices. I.e. TW is opinionated (hopefully in a good way), and we'd rather move people to meld with this opinion over time.
All this said, I'm not inherently opposed to customization like this, but I do suspect this level of customization will need a PR from the broader community if it is to be done soon.
Over the long haul I'd hope that we can curate AntWeb into persisting using Biocurations, then work to export back to the needed format. This would allow AntWeb to benefit from functionality specific to Biocuration, which will increase significantly in the not so distant future (e.g. exporting material examined sections).
Feature or enhancement
We're not using biocurations for the Antweb project, so seeing the soft validation warning causes confusion for new contributors.
It would be helpful if the warning could be disabled when there aren't any biocuration groups defined for the project.
