@jrflood can you investiage please?
GeographicItem ID 34291 corresponds to the area labeled "Puno" on the WebLevel1 map, however the list of "corresponding" areas shows "Amazonas" which actually corresponds to GeographicItem ID 32648. Also "Names from geographic areas:" for GI 34291 shows "Calleo" which in turn lists GeographicItem IDs 32490 (correct) and 32491 (wrong).
According to the English version of Wikipedia, "Cusco, also spelled Cuzco, is a department and region in Peru and is the fourth largest department in the country, ... " so this is likely a gazetteer issue.
A GeographicArea needs to be created for Puno, and associated through geographic_areas_geographic_items with GeographicItem 32491
Can you mock all the attributes that area, parent id, type, origin etc and leave them here?

Geographic area: Peru https://sfg.taxonworks.org/geographic_areas/175
In the area for Peru - which i'd like to use for asserted distributions, it seems to be lacking "Puno" amongst the Children Also "Cuzco" seems to be a variant spelling of what is listed as "Cusco"
