[Bug]: The Comprehensive Task has no Soft Validation for holotype duplication #3535

Closed mabecabrera closed 10 months ago

mabecabrera commented 11 months ago

Steps to reproduce the bug

1. We create a new specimen from the Comprehensive specimen digitization task. We assing a Holotype type status for it, although it already has an holotype assigned.
2. The is no warning at all in this task, nor a message caming up from the bottom of the screen, nor a Soft Validation.
3. We create it and then check this taxon name from the Browse Nomenclature task. In this task there is a soft validation mentioning that: More than one of primary types are selected. Uncheck the specimens which are not primary types for this taxon.

We think it would be very useful to get some alert and not being able to save a collection object as an holotype when there is already another one.

I've said before this really needs to be hard-validated.

mabecabrera commented 11 months ago

That´s it! A hard validation to stop me from creating that kind of duplications.

It is possible to make the exact same TypeMaterial with the same object, this shouldn't be possible.
