infratribe defies to be edited #3971

I'm trying to synonymize infratribe Scaphurae (genus group in old OSF) with tribe Scaphurini (stat. nov. - published June 11th), but Edit taxon name is sort of inert. Not possible to establish objective synonym relationship nor add missing type genus Scaphura.

Unintelligible error:

The first isn't true and it doesn't let the second be resolved:

What does this mean? Appears when I try to change the status of Scaphurae to invalid.

This seems to be the correct relationship for Scaphurae Westwood, 1838 with Scaphurini: imagen

... but the error keeps appearing ... imagen

Is Scaphurae the subject_taxon_name? Currently valid. Scaphurini too.

Apparently I need to make Scaphurae invalid first (just tested in Sandcastle), but none of the categories seems to match, and the problem of the previous comment occurs, "Name must end in -ad".

please use "family group name form" relationship. TW uses synonymy in strinct ICZN sense.

How do I then add citations for the original form Scaphurae (used in altogether four sources)? Only for Subsequent name forms can be added citations.

Citation on protonym is always added to the original form. Citation on subsequent forms will be added to those.

Thank you, I think I understood how it works. Now it looks like this:

When I now change the infratribes ending in -ae to tribes ending in -ini, add the original form with -ae below, and the subsequent form with -ini, the display looks strange:

Aegimiini as synonym of itself. Should I have added Aegimiini as new name and then established the relationship of Aegimiae to Aegimiini separately? But in the Scaphurini example above which I reconstructed from scratch occurs the same.

Look at the timeline, everything looks correct: image The classification tree shows you that there are two protonyms.

Thank you.

The paper published today proposes a few infratribes ending in -ita (to accommodate groups below subtribes). TW doesn't like this.

ICZN does not regulate the endings of infratribes. I do not remember where the initial idea of -ad came from. I think, I will just remove the restriction.
